Laura has been with District 241 since 2014. She graduated from Byron High School and Minnesota State University-Mankato with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.
During my time at MSU, we were given the opportunity to work in numerous school districts and in different grade levels. On my own time I have spent almost a thousand hours volunteering in the middle and high schools of my hometown. So, as you can see I love the school environment and sharing my enthusiasm for math.
I feel that all students should have access and the responsibility to learn the material. Students in my class will learn skills that will help them in everyday life. They will learn problem solving, communication, group work, and critical thinking skills. I expect the students to be honest with me and respect themselves as well as the people around them. I also hope the students come prepared and ready to work every class period.
