Jacque Sorensen has been with District 241 since 1994. In 1991, she received her A.A. degree from Bethel College. In 1994, she finished her schooling at Mankato State University and received her major in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. Jacque received her Masters in Learning Disabilities in 1998. She continued her education with administration classes, specific disability classes and a variety of other training's to support her students. She has her Masters plus 60 credits.
Jacque is a member of the Teacher of the Year Committee, the District Reading and Math Committee, and a variety of building committees. She has taught students with special needs at Southwest, Hawthorne and Sibley. She has also taught students in 4th Grade at Lakeview and Sibley.
Jacque is married and has 4 boys and one daughter-in-law. She was awarded the District Teacher of the Year in 2017.
