Suzanne Mauer works with students in grades 8-12 in Tiger Band, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band. Along with band rehearsals, she teaches lessons during the school day. She also directs Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Marching Band.
Suzanne began with the district in 2003, and has been teaching band at the high school since 2011. She earned her BA in Music with a minor in Music Education from Luther College (Iowa) in 2002 and her MS in Education, Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University (Minnesota) in 2006.
Suzanne was selected to present a session on using SMART Boards in the elementary general music classroom at the MMEA Mid-Winter Clinic (the state music convention) in February 2010. She is a member of the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA), The National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the Minnesota Band Directors' Association (MBDA), the Albert Lea Education Association (ALEA), Education Minnesota, and the National Education Association (NEA).
