Math and Muffin Morning at Hawthorne Elementary

Hawthorne Elementary School held a Math and Muffin Morning.  Families were invited for breakfast, and afterward, parents had the opportunity to learn more about math instruction and helpful math tips they can be doing at home by Amy Schuhmacher, Instructional Coach at Albert Lea Area Schools.

School District Levy on Taxpayers reduced 2.25%

For the second year in a row, the Albert Lea Area School District's local tax levy is going down. The proposed reduction in the levy that the Albert Lea Area School Board certified last night, is 2.25%. This comes a year after the district reduced its levy by 1.3%.
